For beginning students our instructors will focus on the fundamentals of wheel throwing. In class, students will learn how to throw cylinders, bowls, plates, and vases! For those that have more experience in clay and know what they would like to focus on, the class is less structured in order to give the student independence as they work through their particular vision in clay.
Instructor will be present for questions and for structural advice and technique, as well as for advanced demonstrations. The kids and teens classes at Feet of Clay will give the young inspired ceramicist an inside look at a working pottery studio and its many working artists. This program is great for young potters looking to develop more skills outside of a school setting.
Classes include clay, firing, and instruction. Used tools and a bucket will be provided with class. If you would like your own new tool kit, you can purchase one with registration for $25

Kids Classes: Thursday kids class will be taught by Caterina Diaz, who has extensive experience and knowledge of both clay and teaching children of all ages in a creative setting. Zoe Herzog will be accompanying Cat during our Fall Kids class as the assistant.
Please keep in mind this class is non-refundable after one week before the start date. There are no makeup classes for kids classes.

More Information About Kids Pottery Classes
This Monday class will be taught by Kat Keenan who has been teaching kids for 3 years and loves helping others pursue their passions for pottery! This class is an all-level pottery class for kids and teens, ages 8-14. There is a tentative Thursday class that will be taught by Emily Barrow, who usually teaches kids in an environmental education setting and is excited to teach clay to your kids!
