Kat Keenan
Kat Keenan fell in love with pottery five years ago when she foraged for wild clay
at an artist retreat called Haystack in Maine. She has been working with clay ever
since. Kat graduated from Massart with a BFA in ceramics and has been
teaching and making pottery in Massachusetts for the past few years.
Kat’s art is made from found supplies gathered on walks; brought together by
clay, fibers, memories and words. When she isn’t working with clay, she enjoys
bookbinding, journaling, painting, and poetry as well. Kat’s work seeks to show
the beauty she sees in everyday life and to connect others to earth.
In her free time she loves to throw in her studio, spend time exploring nature,
and hanging out with friends and her cat, Spike!
At Feet of Clay, Kat teaches the clay samplers on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
