Emily Barrow

Hello! I’m Emily Barrow (she/they) and I’m a newer addition to Feet of Clay. I started with pottery at a young age, but didn’t start on the wheel until I took a class in high school, and I’ve been hooked ever since. From there, I became very involved in my pottery co-op at Oberlin College, and taught a class to other undergrad students while I was there. After college, my professional career skewed toward nature education, as I worked as a preschool teacher at the Boston Nature Center and then spent a year with CitySprouts. Now, I’m in graduate school at Emerson College, completing my MFA in Creative Writing, and I’m also working part time at Mass Audubon— and at Feet of Clay! I’ll be teaching a kids class starting January 2024, and hope to get more involved in the studio as time allows. I look forward to saying hello in person if we get a chance to meet!
