Debra Rose
I started my relationship with clay in my early teens at the Brookline Arts Center. As a visual arts major in college I sculpted in stone, clay and threw on the potters wheel. Then life took its course, an MSW from Simmons School of Social work, and single motherhood. A few years ago I was taken off the wait list at Feet of Clay and again pursued my adventure with clay. Much of my work is inspired by organic shapes which I have reflected in my photography, clay and stone sculpturing over the years. The series I do with clay and nails is reminiscent and integrates my passion for clay and stone sculpting.
