Abby Visco

Abby began working with clay at 10 years-old, taking hand-building and wheel classes after school at Artists Association of Nantucket. AAN quickly became her second home and clay played a large role in building her identity as an artist.

Education and other career opportunities took Abby away from clay for a few years. She holds a B.A. in Writing, Literature and Publishing from Emerson College and a M.Ed. in Middle and High School Education from Lesley University. She is currently teaching second and third grade students at an extended day program in Brookline, where she incorporates creativity in every activity she teaches, sharing her passion for art with her students.

Additionally, Abby is dedicating more time to her own craft as a new member and instructor at Feet of Clay. Her style is currently in a state of experimentation; however, small-scale vessels that incorporate both wheel thrown and hand-built elements remain constant. Abby is hoping to create a cohesive collection that showcases who she is as an artist in 2024.
