Classes at Feet of Clay
Adult classes are offered Monday through Thursday evenings from 7-10 pm, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10-1, and Saturdays from 1-4pm. Our Seniors class is held on Wednesday afternoons from 3:30-6:30pm. Classes run for 8 weeks and cover basic wheel-throwing and hand-building techniques for beginners. They also allow intermediate students the opportunity to pursue their own interests.
Cost is $250, which includes group instruction, 25 lbs of clay, glazes, and firing. (Additional clay is available from the studio for $18 per 25 lb bag of white or brown stoneware; $23 for porcelain.) Please note that all classes are non-refundable after one week before the start date. Classes are limited to 8 students to maximize personal attention. Make-up classes are not guaranteed and are dependent on available space. Only one make-up session can be arranged.
NEW! We offer a kids class for students ages 10-14 on Thursday afternoons from 3:30-6:00 pm, which covers basic wheel-throwing and hand-building for beginners. The class costs $230 and is limited to 6 students to allow more personal instruction.
NEW! Twice a month on Friday evenings, we offer a 2-hr. clay sampler class where you can spend a few hours working with one of our instructors to learn how to throw on the wheel or handbuild. It’s a fun and supportive time to get your hands dirty! Cost is $30, plus an additional $10, cash or check, for every piece that you’d like us to fire and glaze. You must register in advance in order to attend this class, this is not a drop-in class.
